End of life care at home

Everyone will die in this life – it is a certainty. A person may die suddenly due to an injury or illness, while others may die gradually due to a chronic illness or frailty. As people approach the end of their lives, Eternity Care believes that every individual deserves dignity and respect, no matter what the reason.

Most people refer to the end of their lives as the last year of their lives, although some people will live significantly shorter lives. Palliative care and end-of-life care are often used interchangeably.

End of life care: why is it so important?

Our palliative care service ensures that all family members are supported during this very difficult time. When palliative care is available at home, it allows patients to spend their last months, weeks, and days in the place they feel most comfortable and safe: their own home. As a result, they receive palliative care while in the company of a trusted family member or friend. Knowing this can give peace of mind to families and close friends as well as the person receiving care.
